Your full package, no small print.
Headline salary is one number. Real annual reward is bigger, and that's what should drive your decision. Use the calculator below to see what your year one would actually look like, against the local authority and the major private providers.

What's your real package?
Set the things that drive your earnings. The numbers update live, and we'll show you how Genesis stacks up against your local authority and the major private providers in your chosen region.
£3,000 Welcome bonus for new starters
Paid as overtime
Our set rate for every sleep-in - paid on top of base salary
Sleep ins are non-contractual for TCWs therefore any sleep-ins are paid on top of your base salary. Senior TCWs typically complete around 9 sleep-ins a month (depending on the rota pattern) and these are included in the base salary however additional sleep-ins are paid on top of this.
We reimburse up to 50% (capped at £5,000/yr in this model). Leave at £0 if you don't have childcare costs.
£1000 after 2 years, £1500 after 5 years
Commute from home to work
Your total package is worth
Year one
Salary plus the value of your benefits, before tax. This is not your take-home pay.
How that compares in your region
Local authority and private providers in the Gloucestershire / Worcestershire / Bristol area. Same role, year one of experience.
All competitor figures based on publicly advertised salaries and benefits as of September 2026. Local authority sleep-in rates are typically £35 to £45; private providers £60 to £80. Bonuses (welcome, attendance, loyalty) included where advertised. Childcare reimbursement applied where you've entered childcare costs above - note that none of the comparators offer this. Comparators last reviewed: September 2026.
